a little about me
Hi everyone, I am Sara and I am your carpenter.
A little background on my work here... I started painting with my dad when I was about 14 years old. My first day on the job he handed me a razor blade and said go scrape the over spray off those windows. I must have enjoyed this manual labor because I continued working along side him well into my twenties. I never stopped painting though I found that I really enjoyed creating my own things, building and designing furniture and home essentials. I started building and creating my own furniture when I was about 27 years old and never looked back, I truly felt that this was my calling. I am now 37 and the owner/builder of 5.9designs and have made tremendous strides in my work and business. I absolutely love the work I do and find great satisfaction from bringing joy into peoples lives with the comfort and coziness of my builds. I have found a healthy way of giving and bringing joy without sacrificing my own happiness in the process.

A large part of my job is staying open minded and adjusting to the trends, whether big or small I am willing to learn and shift for your needs. From built ins to barn doors, I am your girl!
